New work from home entrepreneurs are appearing as individuals abandon hopes of finding a traditional employment. The United States job market has been extremely conducive to this move towards online methods of making money in recent years. With the October jobs report we presently have the second largest unemployment rate in 50 years ( 1982 was more by a tenth of a percent). This data is disturbing since it comes a little over a year after the experts said the recession ended. Many people don't understand that the official unemployment rate only keeps track of people that are seeking unemployment benefits. It does not calculate the individuals who's benefits have run out or have given up getting a job or seeking unemployment assistance. It also does not factor in the people that are underemployed with temporary or part time jobs trying to get by. It is no wonder why people are turning to making money online.
There are 18 million home-based businesses and they generate $427 billion a year in revenue. It is reported that every 11 seconds someone starts a home based business. Also 20% of work at home businesses gross between 100k and 500k per year. -Money Magazine
One of many benefits to a work at home career is the fact that there is such low operating costs. All you have to worry about is the household expenses such as mortgage/rent, electric, phone, Internet, etc. Most people that are unemployed are not prepared to take their savings (if they have any) and dump it into a conventional new business start-up. This is extremely risky and might be irresponsible if you are trying to support a family. Risk is what keeps many people from chasing the dream of being an entrepreneur. Statistics say 29% of traditional new business ventures don't last 3 years, compared to 70% of home based businesses that last past 3 years.- Home Based Business Institute. Most first time business owners expense themselves out of business the first year due to excess overhead which you just don't have with Home based businesses.
There is also another segment of employment growth online. Home Jobs online are perfect for the person who is not necessarily wanting to be an entrepreneur but would like the flexibility of working at home. These jobs consist of employers looking to employ people to complete tasks that can be done from the home. These can include: Administration jobs, order processing, proof reading, survey taking, transcription, etc. There are companies that act as online employment agencies to assist people locate and apply for these jobs.
One thing is for sure, There are no shortage of choices out there to make money online for those ambitious to go after them. Not only are people turning to the Internet to make money, businesses are frequently turning there as well. professionals agree that growth in the Internet business sector is going to grow exponentially over the next few years.
